CITY OF LINO LAKES
PARK BOARD MEETING
MONDAY, OCTOBER 2, 1995
Brandvwood Park - Marty said this park is scheduled for
paving and the grass looks good.
Trails - The paving bids came in a little cheaper than if
we would have written a change order to one of our existing
contracts . Marty said he would like to get started on the
trails as soon as possible after the rain stops . Marty
passed out a handout showing the breakdown of the projects
and the costs associated with them. He talked about being
able to cut some things out to lower the total cost of the
paving job.
George asked if there were very many trails left to be paved
after this year. Marty said there were some in Pheasant
Hills and approximately 3400 feet in the Clearwater Creek
Phases .
Rice Lake Estates - Marty said he is still waiting for
Circle Pines to get him some information for the Park Board
members . As soon as we get the information it will be put
in the members packets .
Sunset and Jeanne Drive Trail Segment - The wetland
delineation should be done before October 15, 1995 . Once we
get that report we will know what we are dealing with for
this project . Pam asked if the residents have contacted him
about this trail . Marty said they have not but he feels it
is a needed trail .
Recreation Report: Barry told the members that he included
program planning forms/final reports and a 1995 Summer
Programs report in their packets .
He reviewed the 1995 Summer Programs report . He told the
members that the Lino Lakes Park and Recreation Department
served 371 young people in our cost incurred programs and an
additional 231 in our open playground program this year. He
said 81 percent were Lino Lakes residents with 93 percent of
the youth attending the Centennial School District .
Pam asked if T-ball was offered during the day. Barry said
yes, we had three sessions . Pam then asked how the number
of day participants compared to the evening participants .
5
