CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />DRAFT <br /> 4 <br />Members of the Public Safety Department conducted extensive research on a use of force 132 <br />training simulator to determine if these types of systems could improve the training 133 <br />provided to our staff. The recommendation from staff is the VirTra V-100 LE system. 134 <br />This system would allow instructors to conducted scenario based training with the 135 <br />resources currently available to all Lino Lakes police officers, as well as create scenarios 136 <br />based on video footage of actual calls that have occurred in Lino Lakes. 137 <br /> 138 <br />Staff is recommending the purchase of this system as quoted with the use of Federal 139 <br />Forfeiture Funds. Use of forfeiture funds for this purchase is a permissible use of 140 <br />forfeiture funds as outlined in the Guide to Equitable Sharing (July, 2018). The total for 141 <br />this purchase is $48,284.85.
