CITY COUNCIL <br /> AGENDA ITEM 5A <br /> STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee PE, City Engineer <br /> MEETING DATE: May 9, 2022 <br /> TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 22-48, Approving Construction Services <br /> Contract, Water Tower No. 2 Rehabilitation Project <br /> VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> Staff is requesting City Council's consideration to approve a construction services contract for <br /> the Water Tower No. 2 Rehabilitation Project. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> On February 14,2022,the City Council awarded the construction contract for the Water Tower <br /> No. 2 Rehabilitation Project to Classic Protective Coatings,Inc. in the amount of$1,188,857.80. <br /> The project is expected to last approximately 16 weeks and be completed in the fall of 2022. <br /> WSB and Associates and KLM Engineering have submitted a proposal to complete the <br /> construction services for the Water Tower No. 2 Rehabilitation Project in the amount of <br /> $127,600.00. Funding for the project is through the Water Operating Fund. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. 22-48,Approving the Construction Services <br /> Contract for the Water Tower No. 2 Rehabilitation Project, in the amount of$127,600.00. <br /> ATTACHMENTS <br /> 1.
