DESIGN REVIEW BOARD
May 9, 1990
reader sign for specials.
John Miller stated that the Sodermans should be congratulated
on the clean -up work they've completed so far. They have
removed the "Ford property" from the top -of -the -list as far
as junk is concerned.
The westerly half of Ford's old ten acre parcel is zoned "GB"
General Business. This is the site of the landscape
business.
Mr. Miller has recommended certain conditions to assure the
business activity is harmonious with the adjacent residential
area. The conditional use permit will be reviewed annually.
A revised site plan should be completed to submit to council
for approval.
MOTION: John Bergeson moved to recommend to the city council
approval of Application #90 -21 for a Site and Building Plan
for Brian and Laurie Soderman for property at 6074 Hodgson
Road contingent upon Mr. Miller's recommendations as follows:
1. Outside storage be limited to nursery products
including trees, shrubs, rock, lawn ornaments and
other material usually associated with this
business.
2. Repair and straighten fence on the south side of
the property.
3. All electric utility lines be placed underground.
4. removal of all electric utility poles on the
property.
5. Repair or removal of wire fence in front (west
side) of property.
6. Complete siding of detached garage /storage building
near residence.
7. Complete painting of 15 x 30 foot metal shed.
8. Driveway and parking areas be covered with asphalt.
Including curbing where appropriate.
9. Boat sales be discontinued. (Soderman explained
that he is simply selling his personal boat and not
in the business of boat sales).
10.
