DESIGN REVIEW BOARD
November 14, 1990
adjacent to Outlot F is as follows:
1. The city will subdivide outlot F and will sell parts of
the outlot to adjacent property owners.
2. New drainage work will be completed.
3. Restrictive covenants will be placed on the "new lots"
reserving for all practical purposes their use as open
space.
A variance is needed for Lots 1 -35 of Block 1 of Lakes Addition No.
10.
Darrell Schneider explained that the city will grade and seed this
area for sale. The cost of this would be approximately $1,000.00,
added to the cost established by the engineering work in creating
this plat.
Monika Slatten asked about the landowners living adjacent to the
Outlot. Darrell Schneider stated that all the residents are in
agreement to purchase the property and much of the land is already
staked. The home owners will have two deeds to their land.
John Miller feels the subdivision of Outlot F and its subsequent
sale to adjacent property owners resolves a long standing city
issue.
MOTION: Mr. King moved to recommend approval of the preliminary
plat for Lakes Addition No. 10, Application #90 -59 to the city
council. John Bergeson seconded the motion and the motion was
approved unanimously.
MOTION: Mr. King moved to recommend to the city council a variance
for Lots 1 -35 of Block 1 of Lakes Addition No. 10, Application #90-
62 with the findings that the lots are undersized but that 1) the
property could not be put to a reasonable use without the variance,
2) the hardship is not due to economic considerations alone and 3)
the proposed action will not reduce or impair property values
within the neighborhood. John Bergeson seconded the motion and the
motion was approved unanimously.
REVIEW OF A REOUEST FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT REGARDING BANSHEE
ENTERPRISES /HENRY LASKA.
Mr. Laska was not present at the meeting.
No action was taken by the board.
8
1
1
1
