1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />DESIGN REVIEW BOARD <br />May8, 1991 <br />by way of West Shadow Lake Drive. The new site plan shows the access off Birch <br />Street. <br />The applicant has received approval from the Anoka County Highway Department <br />allowing two driveways into the school. <br />The school district was way over budget on the first proposal and this revised plan <br />saves them a tremendous amount of money, approximately one million dollars. <br />The building size of the school has been reduced by 10,000 square feet, although <br />there still remains the same number of class rooms. No play areas or fields have been <br />changed. <br />John Miller pointed out the variances would have to be amended. The march DRB <br />minutes showed the variance motion read that a thirty foot driveway would be <br />approved off West Shadow Lake Drive. <br />After further discussion a motion was made. <br />MOTION: John Bergeson moved to recommend to the city council approval of a <br />revised site plan for Independent School District #12 for an elementary school as <br />described in DRB Application #91 -04. The following items must be met: <br />1. Detail of light standards should be provided and all outside lighting <br />should be hooded to eliminate glare. <br />2. A tabulated schedule of landscaping material should be provided. <br />3. Screening of the loading dock should be including. <br />Robert King seconded the motion and the motion was approved unanimously. <br />Variance <br />John Bergeson moved to recommend to the city council approval of an amended <br />variance for Centennial School District #12 allowing two thirty feet wide driveways <br />off Birch Street. This will delete the variance regarding driveway width off West <br />Shadow Lake Drive. Application #90 -08.
