Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc. <br />The seat shall feature an all belts to seat (ABTS) style of safety restraint. The ABTS feature shall <br />include a three-point shoulder harness with the lap belt and automatic retractor as an integral part of the <br />seat assembly. The buckle portion of the seat belt shall extend from the seat base towards the driver <br />position within easy reach of the occupant. The ABTS feature shall also include the RiteHiteTM shoulder <br />adjustment feature to provide enhanced comfort and safety by allowing customized seat belt fit. <br />This model of seat shall have successfully completed the static load tests set forth by FMVSS 207/210. <br />This testing shall include a simultaneous forward load of 3000 pounds each on the lap and shoulder belts <br />and twenty (20) times the weight through the center of gravity. This model of seat installed in the cab <br />model, as specified, shall have successfully completed the dynamic sled testing using FMVSS 208 as a <br />guide with the following accommodations. In order to reflect the larger size outfitted firefighters, the test <br />dummy used shall be a 95th percentile hybrid III male weighing 225 pounds rather than the 50th <br />percentile male dummy weighing 165 pounds as referenced in FMVSS 208. <br />The materials used in construction of the seat shall also have successfully completed testing with regard <br />to the flammability of materials used in the occupant compartments of motor vehicles as outlined in <br />FMVSS 302, of which dictates the allowable burning rate of materials in the occupant compartments of <br />motor vehicles. <br />SEAT BACK DRIVER <br />The driver's seat shall include a standard seat back incorporating the all belts to seat feature (ABTS) as <br />described above. The seat back shall recline up to 19-degrees. <br />SEAT MOUNTING DRIVER <br />The driver's seat shall be installed in an ergonomic position in relation to the cab dash. <br />SEAT OFFICER <br />The officer's seat shall be an H.O. Bostrom 500 Series Sierra model seat with air suspension. The <br />four-way seat shall feature a 3.00 inches vertical travel air suspension and manual fore and aft adjustment <br />with 5.00 inches of travel. The suspension control shall be located on the seat below the left front corner <br />of the bottom cushion.
