Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc. <br />CAB FRONT UNDERSEAT STORAGE ACCESS <br />The left and right under seat storage areas shall have a vented aluminum hinged door with non -locking <br />latch. <br />SEAT COMPARTMENT DOOR FINISH <br />All underseat storage compartment access doors shall be coated with the same color paint as the primary <br />exterior color or the lower exterior color of the cab if a two-tone. <br />WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM <br />The cab shall include a triple arm linkage wiper system which shall clear the windshield of water, ice and <br />debris. There shall be two (2) windshield wipers; each shall be affixed to a radial arm. The wiper motor <br />shall be activated by an intermittent wiper control located within easy reach of the driver's position. <br />ELECTRONIC WINDSHIELD FLUID LEVEL INDICATOR <br />The windshield washer fluid level shall be monitored electronically. When the washer fluid level <br />becomes low the yellow "Check Message Center" indicator light on the instrument panel shall illuminate <br />and the message center in the dual air pressure gauge shall display a "Check Washer Fluid Level" <br />message. <br />CAB DOOR HARDWARE <br />The cab entry doors shall be equipped with exterior pull handles, suitable for use while wearing <br />firefighter gloves. The handles shall be made of aluminum with a chrome plated finish. <br />The interior exit door handles shall be flush paddle type with a black finish, which are incorporated into <br />the upper door panel. <br />All cab entry doors shall include locks which are keyed alike. The door locks shall be designed to prevent <br />accidental lockout. <br />DOOR LOCKS <br />The cab entry doors shall include a CAN based electronic door lock system which shall include two (2) <br />external keypads, one (1) located on the left side next to the front grab handle and one (1) on the right <br />side next to the front grab handle. There shall be one (1) red rocker switch provided on the inside of each <br />front cab entry door to actuate the cab door locks. Each door lock may also be manually actuated from <br />the inside of the cab by means of a red knob located on the paddle handle of the respective door. <br />The electronic door lock system shall also include one (1) toggle switch accessible through the grille with <br />sleeved connections and wire terminals to protect the connections from the elements. The switch will be <br />a momentary toggle switch that will unlock all cab entry doors when activated. <br />The electronic door lock system shall include four (4) key fobs for actuation with buttons for cab entry <br />door locks and for compartment door locks. <br />07/26/22 <br />-49- <br />
