Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc. <br />Design and construction of the pump control panel and gauge panel shall prevent exposure to the interior <br />pump compartment, thereby preventing air, noise, and moisture contamination into the fully enclosed <br />crew cab/operator's control area. <br />NOTE: Discharge and/or suction controls which require slotted openings (gasketed or not) in the control <br />panel for travel of the valve control handle, are not be acceptable. <br />MIDSHIP PUMP TOP MOUNT MANUAL AND ELECTRIC CONTROLS <br />The upper back portion of the pump control panel is to accommodate the specified "opening" <br />instrument/gauge panel which is to extend above and sloping to the rear of pump control console. <br />Control panel is to be machined, so that the manual valve controls are evenly spaced on a single <br />horizontal line, immediately below and in -line with the respective discharge pressure gauge or <br />instrument. <br />All manual push-pull discharge controls shall be chrome plated, straight-inline pull, with "locking" hand <br />grips. <br />Electric valve controls are to be located on the lower sloping control console, in -line with their respective <br />discharge pressure gauge or instrument. <br />IDENTIFICATION TAGS <br />All discharge controls and outlets, suction controls and inlets, drain valve controls, bleeder valve <br />controls, and all other pump related controls shall be properly identified with permanent engraved or cast <br />nameplates describing function and operation of each control, Nameplates for discharge controls, <br />discharge outlets, and respective pressure gauges will be color coded and indicate: numerical sequence, <br />location of outlet, type of discharge, and size of hose to be used. The nameplates shall be recessed into <br />the discharge control hand grips and discharge and suction drain and bleeder control handles. <br />Any specified air or electric toggle switch gated pump suction controls, with indicator lights, shall be <br />grouped together on pump control console, for ease of identification, equipped with permanently <br />engraved nameplates recessed into a single piece polished stainless steel surround bezel. <br />DISCHARGE "TRIGGER -LOCK" CONTROL HANDLES <br />Six (6) IC brand top mount style control handles shall be provided. <br />Controls shall operate by grip -activated Trigger spring loaded position locks. <br />DISCHARGE CONTROL NAME PLATES <br />07/26/22 <br />-87- <br />
