Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc. <br />ENCAPSULATED ROLL -UP DOOR PROTECTION <br />All of the specified eight (8) roll -up door "bundles" are to be encapsulated within custom fabricated swirl <br />finish aluminum shrouds, protecting "bundled" door slats from interior compartment damage. Fabricated <br />shrouds to be of minimum size necessary, to accommodate the largest diameter door bundle, and are to <br />span the full width of interior compartment. <br />The specified door bundle encapsulators are to be removable, from within the compartment interior, so as <br />to allow for door slat and rewind mechanism maintenance/cleaning, without having to remove exterior <br />add -on access panels. <br />NOTE: Hidden door bundle cavities, which are only accessible by removal of sealed/caulked <br />exterior apparatus body panels, are not acceptable. <br />ROLL -UP DOOR PULL -DOWN STRAPS (TETHERS) <br />The specified roll -up style doors shall be equipped with bottom door slat mounted vinyl braided "tethers" <br />which, when the door is fully open, are no more than 80" from the ground (mid -compartment level). The <br />tether shall be located at trailing edge of door, firmly attached to door slat and midway on compartment <br />bulkhead, so as to stay inside the compartment, when pulling door closed. <br />TALL BOTTOM RAIL, ROM SHUTTER ALUMINUM ROLL -UP DOORS <br />Each of the above specified roll -up doors, which latch at the side body rub rails (door slats), shall be <br />furnished with a "tall bottom rail", providing an additional 1-inch between the body rub rail and the door <br />latch handle. Tall rails will reduce the opened door height by same 1-inch. <br />Upper level doors without interference of body rubrail shall have narrow bottom rail, providing <br />maximum clear opening height. <br />ROM VERTICAL STRIP INTERIOR DOORWAY COMPARTMENT LIGHTING <br />Eight (8) pairs of ROM brand 12-volt multiple LED element, interior compartment vertical "strip" <br />tubular lights, shall be furnished for compartments. <br />Lights to be inboard the specified door tacks or jambs, activated by "opening" of the respective <br />compartment door, using a magnetic bar latch switch where roll -up doors are provided (mechanical <br />plunger switch where hinged doors are provided). <br />Lighting shall have polycarbonate lens to resist breakage from impact and damage from light element <br />heat. <br />ADJUSTABLE SHELF TRACKS, LOW PROFILE <br />07/26/22 <br />- 113 - <br />
