The apparatus manufacturer shall plumb the discharge pipes to the pump and shall provide all valves as <br />required. <br />FRONT BUMPER COMPARTMENT CENTER <br />The front bumper shall include a compartment in the bumper apron located in the center between the <br />frame rails which may be used as a hose well. The compartment shall be constructed of 0.13 inch <br />5052-H32 grade aluminum and shall include drain holes in the bottom corners to allow excess moisture <br />to escape. The compartment shall include a cover constructed of 0.19 inch thick bright embossed <br />aluminum tread plate. <br />FRONT BUMPER COMPARTMENT COVER HARDWARE <br />The front bumper compartment cover(s) shall include gas cylinder stays which shall hold the cover <br />open. Each cover shall be held in the closed position via a D-ring style latch. <br />MECHANICAL SIREN <br />The front bumper shall include an electro mechanical Federal Q2BTM siren, which shall be streamlined, <br />chrome -plated and shall produce 123 decibels of sound at 10.00 feet. The Q2BTM siren produces a <br />distinctive warning sound that is recognizable at long distances. A unique clutch design provides a <br />longer coast down sound while reducing the amp draw to 100 amps. The siren shall measure 10.50 <br />inches wide X 10.00 inches high X 14.00 inches deep. The siren shall include a pedestal mount to <br />surface mount on a horizontal surface. <br />MECHANICAL SIREN LOCATION <br />The siren shall be shipped loose for the body manufacturer to install. <br />AIR HORN <br />The front bumper shall include two (2) Hadley brand E-Tone air horns which shall measure 2 1. 00 inches <br />long with a 6.00 inch round flare. The air horns shall be trumpet style with a chrome finish on the <br />exterior and a painted finish deep inside the trumpet. <br />AIR HORN LOCATION <br />The air horns shall be recess mounted in the front bumper fascia between the frame rails in the right and <br />left outboard positions. <br />AIR HORN RESERVOIR <br />One (1) air reservoir, with a 1200 cubic inch capacity, shall be installed on the chassis to act as a supply <br />tank for operating air horns. The reservoir shall be isolated with a 90 PSI pressure protection valve on <br />the reservoir supply side to prevent depletion of the air to the air brake system. <br />ELECTRONIC SIREN SPEAKER <br />There shall be two (2) Whelen Engineering Inc. model SP123BMC, 100 watt cast aluminum speakers <br />provided. Each speaker shall measure 7.25 inches tall X 9.25 inches wide X 5.25 inches deep. Each <br />speaker shall include a chrome grille. <br />ELECTRONIC SIREN SPEAKER LOCATION <br />The electronic siren speaker shall be located on the flat surfaces of the angled front right and left corners <br />of the bumper. <br />FRONT BUMPER TOW HOOKS <br />
