Planning & Zoning Board <br />September 14, 2022 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />APPROVED MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Vojtech made a MOTION to close the Public Hearing at 6:53 p.m. Motion was <br />supported by Mr. Evenson. Motion carried 5 – 0. <br />The developer, Mark Krogh, JAVA Companies, St Paul Minnesota addressed the <br />mini bank and the teller. He also discussed the color scheme. <br /> <br />Mr. Laden stated that Apollo Drive & Lake Drive is a prominent corner and thought <br />that it should be allowed GB rather than NB due to the type of business going in. <br /> <br />Ms. Larsen said that could be done. <br /> <br />Mr. Laden made a motion to include the recommendation to allow GB rather than <br />NB. <br /> <br />Mr. Vojtech asked if they need to make a motion on the cornice. <br /> <br />Ms. Larsen stated the board could make it part of the motion to not require the <br />cornice and she can remove the resolution before going to City Council. <br />Mr. Laden made a MOTION to recommend approval of the Marketplace PDO Text <br />Amendment subject to conditions listed in the staff report. Mr. Laden then made a <br />MOTION to approve the Text Amendment change with the stipulation that GB, <br />General Business is considered for the use. He would also like the cornice <br />requirement removed. <br /> <br />Motion was supported by Mr. Wipperfurth. Motion carried 5 – 0. <br /> <br />B. PUBLIC HEARING: Amending City Code Chapter 1007: Zoning Code <br />Ms. Kendra Lindahl from Landform presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Board Comments <br /> <br />Mr. Laden believes the garage size requirement could be out of proportion to the <br />house and should be in sync with other building materials needed. He would like the <br />Board to go with 520 square feet instead of 528 square feet due to the divisibility by <br />20 for the width and still meet that requirement without wasting material. <br /> <br />Mr. Evenson stated he thought that the board had removed the requirement for <br />restaurants and hotels on the Business Campus. <br /> <br />Mr. Evenson stated a correction needed to be made to page 248. There is a typo that <br />the land zone is NB and it should be GB. <br /> <br />Mr. Evenson also suggested that if a gas station has a pump tv the volume emanating <br />from that should be controlled. <br />
