8 <br />Several trees marked for saving are invasive. Siberian elms that should be removed. <br />Mitigation trees will not be required for these removals. <br />Updates required to the tree survey and preservation plan will be included in the <br />recommendations. <br />There will be 7 mitigation trees required. The 4 existing trees that will be preserved <br />provide 12 trees worth of credit. These 4 trees to preserve will require tree protection <br />zones to be installed in accordance with the City Tree Protection Fence Detail. <br />No additional mitigation trees will be required. <br />Tree Preservation and Mitigation Standards have been met. <br />Open Areas Landscape Standards <br />Required for 40,000 square feet of open space: 16 large trees <br />32 large shrubs <br />Provided: 31 large trees <br />56 large shrubs <br />Open Areas Landscape Standards have been met. <br />Buffer and Screen Standards <br />The buffer and screen standards call for a 30-inch double triangulated row of plants for <br />the north parking lot perimeter. <br />There are 46 large shrubs planned for the north parking lot perimeter. These shrubs are <br />in a single row. A double triangulated row is needed to meet the requirement. It appears <br />that the requirement could be met by adjusting the placement of these 46 shrubs without <br />adding additional plants. <br />Buffer and Screen Standards have not been met. <br />Canopy Cover <br />Vehicular hardscape planned: 23,000 sq. ft. <br />Canopy cover requirement: 9,200 sq. ft. <br />Canopy cover provided: 9,450 sq. ft. <br />Canopy cover requirements have been met. <br />The Preliminary Plat for Milestones Addition shows a future parking lot west of the <br />proposed daycare facility. This would impact the placement of 4 trees currently <br />providing canopy cover. To account for future development of Outlot A in Milestones <br />Addition, it is recommended that these 4 trees be moved to areas that will not be
