8/29/2023 <br />14 <br />#702 Trailer <br />Trailer #702 is used in the transportation <br />of city equipment. The trailer being <br />replaced is 24 years old. Tilt-bed trailer <br />requires no lifting of heavy ramps for <br />loading and unloading equipment. A tilt <br />bed trailer includes a 16-foot tilt bed and <br />a 6-foot stationary deck. The design of the <br />trailer allows for more versatile and safe <br />operations. Additionally, an electric man <br />lift, if purchased, must also be <br />transported on a tilt bed trailer. <br />#NEW Plow Truck <br />City lane miles have <br />increased. An additional <br />plow truck needs to be <br />added to the fleet in <br />order to provide safe <br />conditions in a timely <br />manner during snow <br />events. Increased plowing <br />times and more lane <br />miles of road have made <br />it necessary to expand <br />the fleet of plow trucks. <br />The last addition to the <br />plow fleet was in 2006.
