INTERIM CITY ADMINISTRATOR EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br />THIS INTERIM CITY ADMINISTRATOR EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT, entered into this 12th day of <br />November, 2024, by and between THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, a Minnesota municipal corporation ("City') <br />and DAVID J. PECCHIA ("Interim City Administrator"). <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to retain the services of an Interim City Administrator to perform the <br />general duties of the City Administrator, as the duties may be determined by the City Council from time <br />to time, for the time -limited, temporary, interim period; and <br />WHEREAS, the Interim City Administrator has indicated that he is qualified and willing to accept <br />and perform the job responsibility as Interim City Administrator subject to the terms of this Interim City <br />Administrator Employment Agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable mutual consideration, and with the intent of being <br />legally bound, the City and Interim City Administrator agree as follows: <br />1. EMPLOYMENT. Upon the terms and conditions set forth in the Interim City Administrator <br />Employment Agreement, the City hereby contracts with David J. Pecchia, to perform the duties <br />of Interim City Administrator. <br />2. TERM OF EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT. The Employment Agreement shall commence on Monday, <br />November 18, 2024, and will continue until such employment is terminated in accordance with <br />Paragraph 6. <br />3. DUTIES. For the purposes of this agreement, the parties understand and agree that the Interim <br />City Administrator shall provide oversight and management of city operations and support to the <br />Mayor and City Council as described in the City Administrator job description and such other <br />legally permissible and proper duties and functions as the City shall from time -to -time assign. <br />Although encompassing the full range of responsibilities within the City Administrator job <br />description, the City shall identify, and the parties shall agree on priorities for the Interim City <br />Administrator consistent with the interim, temporary nature of the position. It is understood <br />that the position of City Administrator requires attendance at evening meetings. The Interim City <br />Administrator will have the additional responsibility of assisting the City Council with the <br />recruitment, screening, and employment of a permanent City Administrator for the City. The <br />Interim City Administrator shall be subject to the City of Lino Personnel Policy, except as <br />otherwise stated in this agreement. <br />4. SCHEDULE. The Interim City Administrator will attend all City Council meetings and work <br />sessions. The Interim City Administrator will schedule himself to be at work in Lino Lakes at <br />times necessary to fulfill the job responsibilities, in consultation with the City Council, but not to <br />exceed 40 hours per week. <br />5. COMPENSATION/BENEFITS. In consideration of his performance of the duties required of him by <br />his Employment Agreement, the Interim City Administrator will be compensated at the rate of <br />$80 per hour of service. The Interim City Administrator will log time in the city's electronic <br />timekeeping system and will be paid on the normal payroll schedule. <br />
