Local No. 49 <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The City Council is being asked to approve the 2025-2026 Labor Agreement between the City of Lino <br />Lakes and International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49. <br />BACKGROUND <br />A tentative agreement has been reached for a two-year contract with I.U.O.E. Local No. 49. A tentative <br />agreement was reached after two meetings and the union members voted in favor of the following <br />terms: <br />Article 5: Holidays <br />Section 5.1 <br />Update the language as follows: <br />All Union employees receive the following 13 paid holidays: <br />Add Juneteenth on June 19 <br />Article 6: Sick Leave <br />• Change the title of Article 6 from Sick Leave to Sick Leave/Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST). <br />• Add the following language in Section 6.4: See the City of Lino Lakes Personnel Policy for a full <br />description of the City's Sick Leave/ESST policy. <br />Article 10: Wages and Classifications <br />Section 10.1 Wage Classifications <br />Wage Schedule <br />• Change the Step headings from Start through Step 6 to Step 1 through Step 7. <br />• 3% general wage increase/COLA, plus 3% market adjustment effective 1/1/2025. <br />• 3% general wage increase/COLA, plus 3% market adjustment effective 1/1/2026. <br />Article 12: Standby and On -Call Pay <br />Section 12.3 <br />Update the language as follows: <br />On -call employees scheduled to carry the on -call phone over the weekend will be paid an <br />additional three hours at time and one-half for a mandatory check of all well houses, water <br />towers, and lift stations. The checks can be made anytime between Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and <br />Sunday at 12:00 p.m. If an on -call employee is called out during this window and the mandatory <br />checks have not been completed, the checks will be completed during the same call -out period, <br />
