Ms. Katie Larsen <br />12/04//2024 <br />Page 3 <br />Slater Addition Engineering Review <br />•Water Supply <br />The proposed water will be supplied by three existing 1-inch Type K copper services <br />extended to the lots from Lois Lane. <br />Comments: <br />1.City records show that the utilities to the existing house (Lot 3) are already <br />connected to the City system <br />•Show existing water service alignment <br />(Plowe 11/7/24) The applicant and property owner have confirmed that <br />the house is connected to city water. The property owner only knew <br />that they are connected on the north side of the house. An estimated <br />route for the services is shown on the plans. <br />(WSB 12/4/24) Complete <br />•Otherwise, show connecting the existing house (Lot 3) to the provided <br />water service stub with construction <br />(Plowe 11/7/24) See above. <br />(WSB 12/4/24) Complete <br />•Abandon/seal the existing well for Lot 3 per MDH requirements with <br />construction <br />i.Note the existing well may be left in place for non-potable irrigation <br />use if MDH setbacks can be met from the proposed utility services <br />(Plowe 11/7/24) A note has been added to verify that the well is to <br />be sealed if not done so already. <br />(WSB 12/4/24) Complete <br />2.Keep utility services for Lot 3 out of the low area HWL <br />(Plowe 11/7/24) Per above 1(a) above, it is unclear where the existing <br />services are located. <br />(WSB 12/4/24) Complete <br />•Sanitary Sewer <br />The proposed sanitary sewer will be supplied by three 1¼” diameter Schedule 40 PVC low <br />pressure service pipes extended to the lots from Lois Lane. All lots will require E-One or <br />approved equal grinder pump stations to connect to the City system. <br />Comments: <br />1.City records show that the utilities to the existing house (Lot 3) are already <br />connected to the City system <br />•Verify whether a low pressure grinder station is currently connected to <br />the City system as shown on the existing conditions plan sheet <br />(Plowe 11/7/24) The applicant and property owner have confirmed that <br />the house is connected to city sewer.
