•
CITY COUNCIL
AGENDA ITEM 3D
STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jeff Karison
MEETING DATE: December 10, 2012
TOPIC: Appointment of Deputy City Clerk
VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5
INTRODUCTION
The Council is being asked to approve the appointment of Lisa Hogstad for the position of
Deputy City Clerk.
BACKGROUND
Jean Viger has submitted her resignation as Deputy Clerk. Her last official day will be
Monday, December 31, 2012. The position was posted internally and two applications were
received. We conducted interviews on November 30 and have offered the position to Ms.
Hogstad, who currently works part-time as an Office Technician I. Lisa has been employed by
III the City since 2000 with a variety of job responsibilities. Due to budget cuts in 2009, Lisa's
full -time position became part-time in 2010.
Ms. Hogstad's part-time position will not be filled. She will maintain a few of her current
duties, but most of her tasks will be transferred to other positions.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the appointment of Lisa Hogstad to the position of Deputy City Clerk, starting
December 17, 2012.
•
