CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 05 -101 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT FOR THE WATER TOWER #2 RECONDITIONING PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Water Tower #2 Reconditioning <br />Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were <br />received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Base Bid Alternate #1 Total Bid <br />TMI Coatings $307,200 $10,000 $317,200 <br />Classic Protective Coatings $437,675 $19,225 $456,900 <br />Tenyer Coatings $514,100 $16,000 $530,000 <br />Engineer's Estimate $324,100 <br />$10,000 $334,100 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that TMI Coatings is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with TMI <br />Coatings in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the Water Tower #2 Reconditioning <br />Project, according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in <br />the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 25th day of July, 2005. <br />John J.
