AGENDA ITEM NO. 6A <br />• <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: July 22, 2002 <br />TOPIC: Resolution 02 -74, Consideration of Accepting <br />Donation From Centennial Fire District for Kite Day <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department held its seventh annual Kite Day <br />event on Saturday, June 1 at Rice Lake Elementary School. This event is free to area <br />children. Approximately 300 kites were distributed. <br />The Centennial Fire District, as a program sponsor, has graciously donated $400 to <br />help defer the cost of this event. The Centennial Fire District continues to be a loyal <br />supporter of several programs offered by the Parks and Recreation Department. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Approve Resolution 02 -74, accepting donation from Centennial Fire District for Kite <br />Day. <br />2.
