Wetland Reconstruction/Restoration <br />Wetlands C, D, and F have been extensively disturbed by past excavation activities. <br />Current conditions include marginal wetland hydrology and low diversity wetland plant <br />• communities. <br />Proposed activities would attempt to restore and supplement wetland hydrology, remove <br />red canary grass, consolidate wetlands, and remove trash, to provide functionally <br />superior„ aesthetically attractive wetland areas. These activities would include <br />excavation, spoil removal, grading, and reseeding with a wet meadow mixture. <br />The estimated cost to complete the reconstruction and restoration of this I.5- acre•area <br />would be. approximately $20,000. • <br />Grading is proposed to occur in April, 2000. An evaluation of hydrological restoration opportunities of wetlands partially within <br />property boundaries should be completed. As adjacent parcels develop.:in•the .future, <br />potential may exist for larger wetlands along the property boundaries to be restored. <br />This applies to larger wetlands along the western and southern property boundaries. <br />3. An' informational/educational pamphlet should be prepared to distribute to <br />landowners adjacent to the green way areas. The pamphlet should include <br />information on the ecological values of the area, management efforts, and rules <br />regarding mowing, dumping, planting, etc. within the. area. <br />
