• <br />Memo <br />To: Jeff Smyser <br />From: Marty Asieson <br />CC: Michael Grochalla <br />Date: December 8, 2003 <br />Re: Environmental Board Recommendations /December 3, 2003 <br />The Environmental Board made the following recommendations at the December 3, <br />2003 Environmental Board meeting concerning Marshan Townhomes 2 "d Addition: <br />Recommendation was made to not approve based on lack of submittal - <br />information on surface water approvals, lighting plans, and the intent of the zoning <br />code specifying medium density multi family designation. Should the project go <br />forward, than the project submittal should addressee: <br />• Narrow driveways on the street side, and flare the driveway ends to <br />accommodate two cars on the town home side. <br />• Change Black Ash to Green Ash or one of the native oak species. Change <br />Colorado spruce to White spruce. Change Austrian pine to White or Red pine. <br />Change Autumn applause to, Green ash or Northern pin oak. <br />• Modify the tree preservation plan to remove hazard trees and dead trees. Modify <br />tree preservation plan to save ash grouping on NE side of project if possible. <br />These trees . are located in a proposed drainage swale area, and if the swale <br />design can be modified a bit, these trees could be saved. <br />• The developer should escrow cash for one tree per building frontage on the <br />boulevard. The developer should modify the landscape plan to allow enough <br />room for these trees. <br />• Page 1 <br />
