He said there will be a
substantial amount of hauling due to fill for house pads and road improvements..
Mr. Felin asked whether or not the traffic situation has to be figured out prior to
development.
Chair Tralle stated that road improvements happen with development.
Mr. Felin was concerned about the increased danger of the road situation.
Chair Tralle reminded residents to contact Anoka County and voice their concerns
regarding the road situations.
Mr. Felin agreed that a traffic light would alleviate problems on Birch Street.
Mr. Wedel pointed out that traffic lights are installed when warrants are met.
Mr. Gracyk asked who paid for the lights at Birch St./Ware Rd.
Mr. Wedel responded that a good portion was paid for by the county and a portion was
paid by the city.
The board pointed out that it is very difficult for the city to get traffic lights installed on
county roads.
Ms. Larsen noted that the Final Plat will be brought to the board and council for final
approval, allowing more time for revisions prior to the final plan.
The board and staff further discussed trail maintenance, city review deadlines, and the
cost of road improvements.
Mr. Root made a MOTION to close the Public Hearing at 7:47 p.m. Motion was
supported by Mr. Laden.
