The purpose of this committee is to provide a formal structure to share information and offer an opportunity for officers and citizens to provide feedback on police department topics and issues. Members of this committee review and analyze topics of community concern, share information with the community related to the police department, provide feedback on potential police department improvement initiatives, offer advice on pending policy considerations and are communicators to policy makers on police issues and concerns. Members of this committee are: Chair Lyle Bye and Vice -Chair Daryl Bartsch, members Karen Bye, Lynne Crupi, Ken DuFresne, Dennis Halverson, Fritz Johnson, Mary Strohmayer, Judy Warren, Pastor Chad Gilbertson and Pastor Larry Stromberg. This volunteer commission logged 213 volunteer hours in 2006. The police department representatives include Sergeant Kent Strege, Office Manager Renee Kaulfuss, Officers Casey Johnson and Joel Martin, Volunteer Coordinator Karen Anderson and Police Chief Dave Pecchia.
