Not pictured: Lyle Goodroad and Brandon Carlson. <br />The Lino Lakes Police Department Reserve Officer Unit continued their longstanding dedication to <br />community service by providing 2,657 volunteer hours to the Police Department. Reserve Officers <br />assist at school carnivals and DARE graduations. They represent the department by: <br />Assisting the cities of Blaine, Coon Rapids, Anoka and Mounds View <br />with their annual festivals. <br />Assisting with National Night Out, Safety Camp, Public Safety Citizen's <br />Academy, St. Joseph's carnival and role playing at department trainings. <br />Providing traffic direction for Sno- Baron's Hay Day races. <br />Performing business checks on weekends and evening hours <br />Providing assistance for the Turtleman Triathlon race. <br />Reserve Officers are trained in first aid, officer safety, defensive tactics, use <br />of force, weapons training, vehicle lockouts, report writing, and use of police <br />radios and other equipment. <br />Reserve Officer Brandon Carlson who dedicated countless volunteer <br />hours lost his life in an off -duty accident on November 23, 2006. <br />Lino Lakes Police Department 2006 Annual Report 21 <br />
