of loop detectors, pedestrian push buttons, and pedestrians (walk/don't walk)
indications. Minor work will include the installation of handholes, conduit, and
cables. Within the addition to the pedestrian walk/don't walk indicators, pavement
markings will be provided for pedestrian cross - walks.
C. STORM SEWER AND STORM WATER TREATMENT IMPROVEMENTS
For the 77th Street realignment, it is proposed to direct the roadway runoff to the
low point located at the intersection of 77th Street and Marilyn Avenue. The
roadway runoff will be collected by installing catch basins along the curb lines
and routing the storm water through 15 -inch storm sewer pipes. The drainage is
then proposed to outlet to the east side of 77th Street into an infiltration basin.
Until the adjacent properties are developed, an overflow swale for the infiltration
basin must be constructed to allow drainage to reach the ditch system along
Lake Drive. When the adjacent properties are developed in the future, the
overflow for the infiltration basin can be re- routed through a new storm sewer
system. Lastly, in conjunction with the Lake Drive right turn lane construction,
minor storm sewer improvements are required to collect the runoff from the newly
constructed turn lane.
It should be noted that the proposed infiltration basin is being designed in
accordance with the Rice Creek Watershed District's (RCWD) proposed rules.
The proposed rules have not been officially adopted by the RCWD. However, it is
anticipated that the proposed rules will be in effect at the time of project initiation
and final design.
D. SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS:
The proposed improvements include extending the existing 10 -inch trunk sanitary
sewer to the west, for approximately 300 feet, through the intersection of 77th
Street and Marilyn Avenue. In addition, the proposed improvements include
extending an 8 -inch sanitary sewer to the north within Marilyn Avenue for
approximately 100 feet. The sanitary sewer is being extended through the
proposed roadway improvements at the intersection of 77th Street and Marilyn
Avenue to facilitate future expansion of the City's sanitary sewer system in the
area.
Feasibility Report
City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota
5 13849.006
