• <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06 -127 <br />AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT <br />FOR A POLE VAULTING DEMONSTRATION EVENT ON <br />AUGUST 19, 2006 <br />WHEREAS, David Bauer, on behalf of the Lino Lakes Jaycees, has submitted an <br />application for a special event permit to allow for a pole vaulting <br />demonstration /competition event on August 19, 2006, in conjunction with the <br />Blue Heron Days festival; and <br />WHEREAS, the pole vaulting would be held on city -owned property and the <br />Council granted authorization to use said property on July 24, 2006, contingent <br />upon submission of appropriate insurance documentation; <br />WHEREAS, the event will be conducted by Flight Deck Athletics and will be open <br />only to experienced pole vaulters with registration required; and <br />• WHEREAS, the applicant has submitted plans to meet safety requirements for <br />• <br />spectators and participants; and <br />WHEREAS, proof of liability insurance for the City has been submitted by the <br />applicant; <br />Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes: <br />That the City Council authorizes the proper city staff to grant Special Event <br />Permit to the Lino Lakes Jaycees for their sponsorship of a pole vaulting <br />demonstration event on August 19, 2006 on City and adjacent and south of the <br />American Legion facility at 7731 Lake Drive. <br />Approved by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 14TH day of August, <br />2006. <br />ATTEST: <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />John J.
