BENNETT COMMUNITY CONSULTING Cathy Capone Bennett 651 - 257 -4613 c athycb ennett@frontiernet. net Ms. Bennett, owner of Bennett Community Consulting, has a wealth of knowledge concerning private - public alliances, program development, and project management in all facets of housing strategy development and economic development through her experience working for local government, non - profit and private sectors. This includes affordable housing implementation, housing plan strategy development, public financing, business retention and recruitment, strategic analysis, focus group facilitation, program marketing and redevelopment and Brownfield project management and planning. Ms Bennett has worked in Minnesota for the past 15 years within local community development in Roseville and Mounds View and in the last 2 years private consulting for the local government, non - profit and private development sectors. Public, private and non - profit consulting clients include the following: Urban Land Institute of MN - Serve as project manager for the ULI MN Regional Council of Mayors Housing Initiative which includes conducting housing audits for the cities of Brooklyn Park, Minnetonka, Richfield, Rosemount and Shoreview. In addition, responsible for the creation of a regional housing toolbox and public policy facilitation surrounding the development and preservation of a full range of housing choices throughout the region. Lexington - Hamline Community Council - Project management associated with the Lex- Ham's housing plan to dispose of 7 scattered site single family homes and coordinate implementation of sale proceeds. Rondo Community Land Trust - Guide the update to Rondo's Five -Year Strategic Plan. Tasks include the review of RCLT performance since 2002, facilitation of board meetings regarding goals for the upcoming 5 -years and updating the strategic outcomes for a new Five -Year Strategic Plan. City of Columbia Heights — Develop the City's housing plan and report on the effectiveness of the city housing programs. This included working with City Council and Planning Commission for the evaluation of current and future housing goals and strategies and incorporating the housing plans into the city comprehensive plan. Also, assist in the development of a point of sale ordinance for the inspection of homes prior to sale. City of Anoka — Develop the Anoka Housing Renewal Plan and facilitated a strategic planning update for the Anoka HRA which was incorporated into the city comprehensive plan. In addition, provide ongoing consulting guidance related to housing development projects and downtown business renewal. City of Ramsey — Prepared the Ramsey Housing & Redevelopment Authority Housing Plan, facilitated a discussion with the HRA concerning affordable workforce housing and need for a full range of housing options that included a survey of employment needs.
