ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING APRIL 29, 2009 <br />Mr. Payne stated there has not been a Wellhead Protection Plan (WHP) <br />implemented before this prior cycle of storm water inspections. <br /> <br />Ms. O’Dea questioned if problems are found while an area is undergoing <br />inspections, is there a list created? Mr. Payne stated yes. <br /> <br />Ms. O’Dea stated it is very helpful to the Environmental Board to have this type <br />of information presented at the meetings. <br /> <br />Ms. Andrzejewski questioned if Mr. Payne was speaking about municipal or <br />private wells. He stated municipal only. <br /> <br />Mr. Studenski addressed complaints about residents abusing stormwater basins, <br />dumping into stormwater conveyences, etc. If residents don’t correct the issues as <br />requested, than the city can go in, fix the problem and then charge the residents or <br />homeowners associations. Mr. Asleson stated the city does not impose fines or <br />penalties at this time. <br /> <br />Ms. O’Dea questioned if the 20% of wetland areas being inspected includes <br />conservation easements. Mr. Asleson stated yes. <br /> <br />Ms. O’Dea questioned if anyone in the audience would like to address the board <br />on this matter. There were no questions form the audience. <br /> <br />Mr. O’Dea questioned the audience if anyone present would like to address the <br />board at this time for the Open Public Meeting on this issue three seperate times. <br />There were no questions from the audience all three times. The Open Public <br />Meeting closed at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown made a Motion to close the public meeting. Ms. Andrzejewski <br />seconded the Motion. Motion carried unanimously and passed by board at 7:09. <br /> <br />7. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br /> A. Other Updates <br /> <br />Earth Day <br /> <br />Mr. Asleson stated the turnout at the Earth Day event held on April 18 at Wargo <br />Nature Center was a success. <br /> <br />Ms. Hartley stated the tree house of horrors was on display on Earth Day. She <br />stated there were many questions asked and answered. <br /> <br />Recycle Day <br /> <br />3 DRAFT MINUTES
