No additional lighting is to be added without review. <br />5. Landscaping should be completed within one year of issuance of the building permit. <br />6. Trees to the east are to remain preserved where possible and staff to review the applicants <br />plans regarding removal of trees, with replacement trees be added as staff directs. <br />Chair Schaps invited applicant to make comment. <br />Gordon Johnson, stated they would lose one oak tree that was "Y" shaped, but he planned <br />on planting four to five maples in its place. He noted he would not be able to save that <br />tree. The maples would go in the rear of the addition and one the side towards the <br />Fogerty building. <br />Mr. Smyser stated they would look at the site to see what tree he was referring to and <br />would make a recommendation to the City Council. <br />Chair Schaps asked if Mr. Johnson agreed with all of the conditions recommended by <br />staff. Mr. Johnson replied he did. <br />Mr. Johnson noted they would also landscape any of Mr. Fogerty's property that went <br />down to the curb. <br />Ms. Lane asked if it would be appropriate to change condition six to read to preserve as <br />many trees to the east of the building as possible. <br />Mr. Johnson stated the tree in question was on his property. <br />Ms. Lane made a MOTION to approve Gordon Johnson, UDOR, 500 Apollo Drive, Site <br />Plan Review subject to staff's recommendations and conditions as outlined in staff's <br />report. <br />The motion was supported by Mr. Rafferty. <br />Motion carried 5 -0. <br />A. CONTINUATION of Ray Benkler, Car Wash, XXX Lake Drive, Conditional Use <br />Permit and Site Plan Review <br />(Continuation of Item 5A . This item was discussed earlier in the meeting.) <br />Mr. Raffel presented samples of the colors and materials they were proposing to use on <br />this project. He noted the roof was a flat, asphalt, and gravel roof. Chair Schaps noted <br />the color schemes were browns, tans, reds (earth tones). <br />Mr. Rafferty recommended they have the color schemes and materials mounted on a <br />board and submitted to staff for presentation at the City Council meeting.
