Mr. Smyser <br />replied that was the plan. <br />Mr. Laden asked if Circle Pines was interested in acquiring the area north. Mr. Smyser <br />replied they were not. <br />Mr. Pogalz asked if the land would be purchased from Lino Lakes. Mr. Smyser replied <br />tract C was private ownership and would need to be purchased. With respect to the <br />property along Sunrise Drive, there was a question of ownership, which needed to be <br />clarified. He stated any land owned by Lino Lakes would need to be discussed as to how <br />it would be purchased or traded. <br />Mr. Hyden asked if Circle Pines purchased the property would the municipal boundaries <br />change. Mr. Smyser replied one City could own property in another City, but it did not <br />mean the boundaries changed. <br />Chair Rafferty invited anyone for or against this application to make comment. <br />Jim Keinath, City Administrator Circle Pines, stated the City was interested in acquiring <br />a small area in Lino Lakes to build a police facility. He noted it was approximately 2 <br />acres total. He stated there would be no change to the underlying property and they <br />would meet with the owners to acquire those properties. <br />Dan Lahlum, 6828 Sunrise Drive, asked how large of a parking lot were they intending <br />on putting in. Mr. Keinath replied he believed the total parking lot area was 28 spaces. <br />Mr. Laden made a MOTION to recommend continuing the public hearing to the March 9 <br />P &Z meeting and was supported by Mr. Pogalz. Final Plat for Highland Meadows East 2 "d Addition <br />Staff stated TSM Development had requested approval of a single - family residential <br />development called Highland Meadows East 2nd Addition. The subject property is <br />currently Outlot A of Highland Meadows East. This plat will create a total of 19 lots. 18 <br />residential lots, and 1 outlot. <br />Staff indicated the final plat substantially conforms to the approved preliminary plat <br />layout as approved by the City Council on July 26, 2004. Some minor adjustments to the <br />width of the middle units have been done but the minimum setbacks discussed in the <br />Preliminary Plat report are still being met. <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
