• <br />Planning & Zoning Board <br />April 12, 2006 <br />Page 3 <br />Mr. Nelson was concerned that the applicant states that most of the time, the dogs are <br />kept with her in the house. <br />Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION to recommend approval of a Conditional Use Permit to <br />allow for a commercial dog kennel at 7933 — 24th Ave, including the five conditions <br />listed in the staff report. Motion was supported by Mr. Tralle. <br />The Board agreed to amend the motion to include a sixth condition, requiring city staff to <br />review the property prior to the issuance of a license. <br />Mr. Pogalz made a motion to recommend approval of a Conditional Use Permit to allow <br />for a commercial dog kennel at 7933 — 24th Ave, including the five conditions listed in <br />the staff report and a sixth condition by the board. Motion was supported by Mr. Tralle. <br />Motion carried 6 -0. <br />B. CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING for a Rezone, Preliminary Plat and MUSA <br />Allocation for Pheasant Stroll Estates <br />Mr. Smyser presented the staff report. <br />Chair Rafferty declared the continued Public Hearing open at 7:32 p.m.. <br />Mr. Smyser announced that City Staff received a request from the applicant to extend the <br />review period an additional 60 days. Mr. Smyser stated that city staff was currently not <br />prepared to recommend approval, and is therefore recommending this item be continued <br />to the June meeting. <br />Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION to continue the approval of the Rezone, Preliminary Plat <br />and MUSA Allocation for Pheasant Stroll Estates to the June P &Z Meeting. Motion was <br />supported by Mr. Tralle. Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />C. PUBLIC HEARING to Amend the Planned Unit Development Conditional Use <br />Permit to allow for building height in excess of the district standards and <br />revisions to the site layout, Apollo Landing <br />Mr. Bengtson presented the staff report. <br />Mr. Rafferty declared the continued Public Hearing open at 7:35 p.m. <br />Staff recommended approval of the request with three conditions listed in the staff report. <br />Philip Carlson; Equinox Development, applicant, stated that the request for a height <br />increase is to allow for an architectural feature of a Hampton Inn Suite, and that the <br />mechanical area will be screened from view. <br />Mr. Pogalz agreed that it would be good to screen the mechanical area. <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br />
