Planning & Zoning Board
April 12, 2006
Page 8
•
Mr. Smyser noted that the project design will be determined to some extent by the 35 -E
interchange area design.
Mr. Laden wondered how valuable the AUAR was with this project. Mr. Smyser replied
that the AUAR results were wonderful. He added that anything built must be consistent
with the mitigation plan, and that some strong recommendations will be made, along with
some suggestions.
C. Rehbein Bus Barn
Mr. Tralle was concerned that the Rehbein bus site was in violation of their Conditional
Use Permit. He recently drove by the site and there appeared to be no activity. He
requested that the City Council be informed that they are not in compliance as their
partial addition has not been completed and the lighting concerns have not been
addressed, as lights currently shine into neighborhoods.
Mr. Nelson stated that they have fixed the lights.
Mr. Bengtson stated that there was a major delay in the project over the winter.
However, he had recently received a phone message from Rehbein that they intend to
follow through with the project. They have revised their lighting without approval, so
staff will be bringing as -built plans to the city council. He added that they need to
connect to city water. He reported that progress is being made. Staff has made a visit to
the site and noted that lighting was improved.
VII. ADJOURNMENT
Mr. Tralle made a MOTION to adjourn the meeting at 9:28 p.m., and was supported by
Mr. Laden.
