Planning & Zoning Board June 13, 2012 Page 4 Vice Chair Hyden declared the Public Hearing open at 7:30 p.m. There was no one present to speak. Mr. Root made a MOTION to close the Public Hearing at 7:55 p.m. Motion was supported by Mr. Laden. Motion carried 4 - 0. Mr. Root made a MOTION to recommend approval of Amending Section 8 of the Zoning Ordinance which includes requirements for industrial districts. Motion was supported by Mr. Evenson. Motion carried 4 - 0. C. PUBLIC HEARING to consider Amending Section 3 of the Zoning Ordinance regarding requirements for Screening, Landscaping and Buffer Yards Paul Bengtson presented the staff report. Staff recommended approval of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment. Board members raised questions about screening requirements and for ways to do tree sampling rather than require a complete survey. Staff answered that the screening requirements mimic current standards, and that more screening/buffer on collector streets at the time of subdivision development would be requiredfsaid the wording could be changed to arterial streets.
