Planning & Zoning Board <br />June 13, 2012 <br />Page 4 <br />Vice Chair Hyden declared the Public Hearing open at 7:30 p.m. <br />There was no one present to speak. <br />Mr. Root made a MOTION to close the Public Hearing at 7:55 p.m. Motion was <br />supported by Mr. Laden. Motion carried 4 - 0. <br />Mr. Root made a MOTION to recommend approval of Amending Section 8 of the <br />Zoning Ordinance which includes requirements for industrial districts. <br />Motion was supported by Mr. Evenson. Motion carried 4 - 0. <br />C. PUBLIC HEARING to consider Amending Section 3 of the Zoning Ordinance <br />regarding requirements for Screening, Landscaping and Buffer Yards <br />Paul Bengtson presented the staff report. Staff recommended approval of the Zoning <br />Ordinance Amendment. <br />Board members raised questions about screening requirements and for ways to do tree <br />sampling rather than require a complete survey. Staff answered that the screening <br />requirements mimic current standards, and that more screening/buffer on collector streets <br />at the time of subdivision development would be requiredfsaid the wording could <br />be changed to arterial streets. <br />Staff noted that tree surv�can be waived if considered unnecessary, and is only <br />required in ar ff'' here work is occurring. <br />Vice Chair Hyden declared the Public Hearing open at 8:00 p.m. <br />There was no one present to speak. <br />Mr. Laden made a MOTION to close the Public Hearing at 8:12 p.m. Motion was <br />supported by Mr. Evenson.
