Planning & Zoning Board <br />April 14, 1999 <br />Page 8 <br />Chair Schaps declared the public hearing open at 7:56 p.m. <br />Ms. Carlson asked if the maps shows the design of the site. She also asked how this plat <br />differs from a parcel laid out as R -1 X. Mr. Smyser stated on a R-1X parcel the lot sizes <br />would be bigger and there would be less open space. The road would not have a curve, <br />there would be no buffer around the wetland, and the lot width would be greater. The <br />developer is building his own home on Lot #10. <br />Ms. Carlson asked if the ownership of the opens space stays with the individual parcels. <br />Mr. Smyser indicated the ownership will stay with individual owners because of the <br />small size of the project and the lots. He noted the placement of the housing pads will be <br />up to the owners. <br />Mr. Johnson expressed concern regarding Lot #6 and the house. The <br />back door looks at house on Lot #7.
