• • • PLANNING & ZONING BOARD May 10, 1995 Chair Schaps requested item I be reviewed at this time. I. 95 -18 -V, Bill Green, 6693 East Shadow, Variance Planning Coordinator Wyland briefly reviewed the application. She noted Mr. Green has applied for a building permit to add approximately 755 square feet to his property. Mr. Green's property became nonconforming in 1982 when the City adopted its current Flood Plain Ordinance. Therefore he would need a variance to add to an existing nonconforming structure. Ms. Wyland indicated Staff would recommend approval of a Variance to allow construction of the proposed addition at an elevation of 886.53, the elevation of the existing structure. Mr. Mesich indicated perhaps an added condition could state, Mr. Green and future owners would hold the City harmless in the case of flooding. Bill Johnson made a MOTION to approve application 95-18 - V, Bill Green, 6693 East Shadow, Variance with the condition that the City be held harmless of damages due to flooding and this condition be a restriction registered with the deed and was supported by Guy Herr. All voted aye. Motion carried. D. 95 -15 -S, Lino Lakes Correctional Facility, 7545 Fourth, Site Plan Review Planning Coordinator Wyland briefly reviewed the request for Site Plan Review for the Lino Lakes Correctional Facility located at 7545 Fourth Avenue And Zoned Public /Semi Public (PSP). Ms. Wyland indicated Staff would recommend approval of the proposed construction /remodeling with the following conditions: 1. Proper building permits be obtained prior to construction. 2. The City engineer review and approve all utility and drainage plans. Chair Schaps inquired as to an anticipated start date. Mr. Rich McCarthy indicated this summer. Ed Schones made a MOTION to approve application 95 -15 -S, Lino Lakes Correctional Facility, 7545 Fourth, Site Plan Review with stated conditions and was supported by Tom Mesich. All voted aye. Motion carried. Chair Schaps called a brief recess at 8:30 p.m.
