Mr. Maki <br />indicated the land is unused farm land. <br />• <br />• <br />Mr. Herr expressed concern with condition number four, he <br />wondered how the stockpile would be kept weed free. <br />Acting City Engineer Powell indicated the condition is in <br />place to prevent the stockpile from becoming unsightly. <br />Mr. Brixius indicated this would assure incoming <br />residents they would not have an unsightly view. <br />Chair Pro -tem Robinson OPENED the Public Hearing at 7:06 <br />p.m. <br />Ms. Colon indicated she had received a notice in regard <br />to this Conditional Use Permit. She indicated she had no <br />immediate concerns, if the stockpile would be seeded and <br />cared for. She also noted if it is for the use of the <br />development she is not opposed. <br />Ms. Colon expressed concern with any health hazards the <br />stockpile would propose for the area children, she <br />suggested there be some restrictions to prevent this. <br />Ms. Colon encouraged the City to assure that if the <br />conditions of the Conditional Use Permit are not followed <br />that there be enforcement by the City. Ms. Neuvez was <br />concerned with the effect the stockpile would have on the <br />market value of her home and the surrounding homes. <br />Chair Pro -tem Robinson CLOSED the Public Hearing at 7:10 <br />p.m. <br />Acting City Engineer Powell noted he had received a <br />letter from a resident indicating the hours of operation <br />had not been observed, the workers were operating outside <br />the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. <br />Chair Pro -tem Robinson indicated this concern could be <br />addressed in an additional condition. <br />Chair Pro -tem Robinson inquired as to when the applicant <br />would like to start. Mr. Matke indicated as soon as they <br />have Council approval they will begin, since the seeding <br />season is coming to an end. <br />Mr. Mesich inquired if the land had been delineated for <br />wetlands. Mr. Matke indicated the land had been <br />delineated and the stockpile will not be near the <br />wetlands. <br />Mr. Mesich also expressed concern for condition number <br />four. Mr. Powell indicated perhaps the condition could <br />be reworded to state, "vegetation consistent with <br />4 <br />
