The problem <br />with the garage though has held up the sale of the property. <br />Charles Bloom is the person who platted Bloom's Addition and <br />he has become involved again. Bloom will purchase 14.7 feet <br />from John McClean and the Hansen family for $4,600. and <br />attach it with city approval to Lot 1. <br />The board saw no problem with this request. It was <br />recognized that a new parcel is not created, therefore no <br />park dedication is necessary. <br />MOTION: Robert King moved to recommend to City Council <br />approval of a Minor Subdivision for Carl Franzen, Application <br />#89 -34. Al Robinson seconded the motion and the motion was <br />approved unanimously. <br />AMENDMENT TO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, SIMONSON'S GARAGE, <br />APPLICATION #89 -21. <br />In June the city council on recommendation from the Planning <br />and Zoning Board approved a Conditional Use Permit for <br />Simonson's Garage to operate in the old Luther's Marine <br />building. In the council's action Bob Simonson was given 60 <br />days (August 12) to complete several site maintenance and <br />clean -up items. The conditions attached to the CUP were as <br />follows: <br />1. "No parking" signage on land adjacent to Lois Lane. <br />2. Fence on east side of property to be extended to <br />include the park land adjacent to the building <br />(board on board construction). <br />3. Selling of cars on an occasional basis shall be <br />permitted. <br />4. Removal of the free- standing sign at the southwest <br />corner of the property. <br />5. Removal of the fuel tanks and pump island from the <br />west side of the site. any disturbed areas <br />presently covered with asphalt to be repaired and <br />covered with a minimum of two inches of asphalt. <br />6. Any sign to promote the business be flush- mounted <br />to the Lake Drive side of the building. <br />7. Repair of the brick facade (approximately 12 <br />inches) on the west side of the building. <br />Page 6 <br />
