Will roadway have to be rebuilt in
a couple of years?
Ron Stahlberg couldn't answer the question regarding the
roads, but he said the road does not meet the present
standards.
Steve Anderson - 1582 LaMotte Drive - Anderson's concern
was:
* You can dig anywhere and hit water three feet down.
Jim Hines - 6918 LaMotte Drive - Hine's was concerned with:
* The City made him dig six to eight feet down and
replace it with sand.
Mr. Kent Roessler said the soil problems will be corrected.
The homes in this area will be financed by FHA, an agency
that has very strict rules for approval of the housing.
Mike Mastro - 1553 LaMotte Drive - He said he bought his
property 11 years ago and he had a good road then. When the
developer is done the road will be torn up again. Are the
owners going to be assessed $3,000 or more for road repairs?
MOTION: Prokop moved that a verbal application by Kent
Roessler at this meeting for a variance to a cul- -de -sac on
the plats entitled Lake View Place, the cul -de -sac on the
specific plat is 290 feet longer than the allowable
permitted length in the ordinance be granted a variance for
the following reasons:
1. The developer acted in good faith and the question
of the length of the Cul -de -sac wasn't mentioned until
this Planning and Zoning meeting.
2. Six findings of fact that need be made according
to the zoning ordinance appear to be met. The
platting is the best usage. The plat of the land
owner is due to the circumstances unique to
the property to wit the location surrounded by
i.e. lack of roadway, St. Paul waterworks
easements. Property useage is reasonable to the east
if variance is granted.
3. The plight of the land is not due to economic reasons
