• <br />Page -3- Planning and Zoning <br />MOTION: Prokop recommends to the City Council that John <br />Miller - City Planner is directed to look into the <br />estimation of the cost of providing and developing a <br />comprehensive street and roadway plan for the entire city <br />that is practical at this time. John should represent it to <br />the City Council for their action and reaction. Irwin <br />seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously. <br />Ron Stahlberg's third overlay - Ron Stahlberg showed all <br />existing ponds. The pond in Mar Don Acres, south of Lois <br />Lane has a problem with overflowing onto the street. We <br />need to correct the problem. <br />Ron updated the Planning and Zoning Board with the State Aid <br />System - 2nd Avenue and comprehensive drainage for that <br />area. <br />Chairman Cody thanked Ron Stahlberg for coming to our <br />meeting tonight. <br />• REGENCY HOMES REQUESTS FOR VARIANCE FOR LAND AT 6885 BLACK <br />DUCK DRIVE, APPLICATION 88 -6. <br />• <br />Prokop tabled this item because no one showed up to discuss <br />this. Nelson seconded the motion and the motion was carried <br />unanimously. <br />PLANNING DISCUSSION OF REQUEST TO INCREASE MAXIMUM ACCESSORY <br />BUILDING SIZES ON LOTS LARGER THAN 3/4 ACRE. <br />The petition homeowners brought to the Planning and Zoning <br />meeting in January stated they were asking for a reduction <br />in lot size requirements for the 800 square foot storage <br />buildings. <br />Residents here tonight: <br />Jim Miller - 7851 Knoll Drive: Miller would like to see the <br />lot size reduced from one acre to 3/4 an acre. <br />Patty Shipman: Shipman wants the size changed to keep the <br />neighborhood neat. We need the extra storage! <br />Terry Mally - 7840 Knoll Drive: Mally showed up for <br />support. He would like to put all the extra lawn mowers, <br />bikes etc. in the storage buildings. <br />Lee Whitmore - 7698 Sunset - Whitmore wants the larger <br />building in. He's here to support the issue. <br />There was discussion regarding the lot size. <br />MOTION: Joyer asked the Planner to prepare a draft <br />ordinance amendment to reduce the minimum lot size for the <br />
