• <br />• <br />PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES JULY 13, 1988 <br />MOTION: Averbeck moved to approve to City Council the <br />concept plan review for Woodridge Estates (Section 31) <br />contingent upon the official city map being approved, along <br />with the road changes and correction of lot sizes. Crohn <br />seconded the motion. <br />After further discussion it was noted this was a concept <br />plan only and will not go to City Council. The Planning and <br />Zoning Board will wait for Carlson's Preliminary Plat. <br />RECOMMENDATION FROM LINO LAKES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />COMMITTEE TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTIES FOR COMMERCIAL AND <br />INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT. <br />Several members of the Economic Development Committee were <br />present. <br />The purpose of the Economic Development Committee is to <br />advise the council members and the other city boards what <br />actions were necessary to build a commercial and industrial <br />base in the city. <br />The EDC members have studied Lino Lakes commercial and <br />industrial land needs and are recommending increasing the <br />size of areas zoned for these uses. They also recommended <br />the city should rezone the land now to avoid future conflict <br />with adjacent residential land uses. After the land is <br />rezoned, the City should work with owners in preparing <br />devlopment plans for each area. <br />The City Planner and City Engineer presented maps with the <br />EDC recommendations. <br />There was considerable discussion. <br />MOTION: Based on the recommendations from the Economic <br />Development Committee Prokop moved to recommend to the City <br />Council rezoning certain property that is attatched to the <br />application. Property involved would include the area <br />outlined in brown (on map) adjacent to 35E and County Road <br />14 would be rezoned for general business and rural to light <br />industrial. <br />PSP district adjacent to the Lino Lakes Rehab. Center <br />outlined in brown on the map should be rezoned from PSP to <br />Light Industrial. <br />PAGE 3 <br />
