• <br />• <br />• <br />PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD September 14, 1988 <br />The city engineer stated if the road were not constructed, <br />another LaMotte Drive (long cul -de -sac) situation would <br />exist. <br />Chairperson Cody asked that Mr. Rosenthal be notified of <br />future meeting dates when this subdivision would be <br />discussed. <br />REVIEW OF SITE PLAN FOR ARNT CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, <br />APPLICATION 88 -30. <br />Gene Arnt and Jim Zurek, representing Mr. Arnt, appeared <br />before the board. The applicants wish to construct a <br />masonry building for the purpose of equipment storage. The <br />structure would measure 80 x 120 feet. Building details <br />include the following: <br />1. Exterior - Rock face concrete block painted brown. <br />The adjacent Acton building has a similar <br />exterior and color. <br />2. Screening- Berm with 2 rows of six foot pine trees <br />planted ten feet on center. <br />3. Garage <br />Doors <br />4. Drainage <br />- Doors will not be visible from the street, <br />they will face east. <br />- An easement for ponding has been given to <br />the city. The plan has been approved by <br />Rice Creek Watershed District. <br />The city engineer stated that the site plan did not show the <br />location of the well and the drainfield nor was a drainage <br />plan submitteed for his review. The city planner asked for <br />a landscaping materials list. <br />The applicants asked that the city's requirement for a <br />hard - surfaced storage area (east of the new building) be <br />waived. In turn they were agreeable to entering into an <br />agreement with the city to remove the metal -clad building <br />located on the north side of the Arnt property. They asked <br />for ten years use before removal. The planner recommended <br />five. Chairperson Cody asked if the applicant would accept <br />7.5 years. <br />It was moved by Mr. Prokop that relative to its review of <br />the site plan for Arnt Construction, Application 88 -30, the <br />Page 5 <br />
