100
Planning and Zoning
March 13, 1985
Page Two
The Board reviewed Mr. Johnson's plan and made some additional
recommendations and asked that Mr. Johnson take these recommenda-
tions and the recommendations of the Park Board with regard to
the park dedication issue involved with these subdivisions.
Mr. Doocy moved to table the issue of the Audrey Burque and the
Paul Tubbs metes and bounds subdivisions until receipt of a
revised access plan and resolution of the park dedication issue.
Mr. Prokop seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Steve Nice from the audience asked why the Board could not
deal with the portion of the Tubb's subdivision request which
asks for a lot split which would add acreage to Mr. Nice's
present property and bring his total property to over ten acres
thus making his property less nonconforming in a rural zone.
The Board explained that the package that Mr. Tubb's presented
to the Board includes Mr. Nice's lot split and other items. The
Board would have to consider the entire package. Should Mr.
Nice wish to have his lot split considered separately, he would
be required to make application separately and pay the $150 fee
required.
Mr. Tubbs and the representative for Audrey Burque asked for
clarification with respect to the procedure and time frame ex-
pected in continuing to pursue their requests. The procedure
was discussed and clarified for all.
NEW PLATTING ORDINANCE
Mr. Zack Johnson presented an proposed addition to the City Code -
Subdivision and Platting Section. One of the basic changes it
would make is that minor subdivisions (as defined within the
proposal) could be handled at the staff (planner) level, with
reports made to the P & Z Board. The Board felt this may help
lessen their work load; and recommended that the words 'Zoning
Official' be used rather than 'Zoning Administrator'; and 'City
Planner' be used rather than 'staff' when developing the final
draft of the platting ordinance.
Mr. Prokop moved to adopt the new platting ordinance as corrected,
and after review by the City Attorney. Mrs. Klaus seconded the
motion. Motion carried unanimously.
DONNELL REALTY - METES AND BOUNDS SUBDIVISION
This item appeared on the agenda for this meeting, but was not
discussed. The Park needs to make a recommendation on this issue
before P & Z consideration.
1
