Maintenance activities have included: <br />• Bare root tree planting — One hundred ten bare root trees were planted throughout our parks <br />system. In addition to planting, all trees have been watered in and mulched. <br />• Landscape plantings at Town Center. Forty Dwarf Bush Honeysuckle and 45 perennials were <br />planted in the three planting beds in front of the ECFE and Police Department entrances. <br />• Wenzel Farms Trail — Restored edges of trail where culvert was installed. Leveled excess fill, <br />removed unwanted debris, seeded to natives. <br />• Over seeded pleasure rink areas. <br />• Garbage collection — all parks. <br />• Lawn mowing — all parks. <br />• Broadleaf Weed control — Sunrise, Marshan, Behm's, Wenzel Farms, Brandywood, <br />Shenandoah, Pheasant Hills, Country Lakes, Arena Acres, Birch and Rice Lake Estates were <br />treated for broad -leaf weeds. The Fire Hall, Town Center, and all well houses were also <br />treated. (contracted) <br />• Soccer field preparation - Delivered goals, hung nets, anchored goals, field layout, line cut -ins, <br />and line painting to 12 practice and game fields. <br />• Ballfield preparation — Daily prep of all game fields, weekly dragging of practice fields. <br />• Hazard tree removal — Removed three Jack Pines at Sunrise Park. <br />• Clearwater Creek Park — The extremely wet weather of early May caused many delays <br />including the cancellation of the original playground installation date.
