The Brauer team <br />will work with the City team to assess local cost histories and survey a number of municipalities to determine average <br />cost -basis for operating and maintaining parks and facilities. <br />• Review and make recommendations on Park Dedication Ordinance. <br />• Strategies for developing and maintaining effective working relationships with county, school district, state, and private <br />providers of parks and recreation facilities. <br />Work Plan: The following outlines the anticipated work plan envisioned for this phase of the project. Anticipated <br />meetings are highlighted. <br />• Focus group meeting with City staff — to establish starting point for implementation planning. <br />• Develop working draft plan of implementation plan for review with the City staff. <br />• Meet with Park Board and Environmental Board to review draft findings. <br />• Make revisions to the plan based on findings of the public process. <br />• Present final draft plan to City Council, Park Board, and Environmental Board at joint work session. <br />End Product: <br />• Completed implementation plan report. <br />Qualifiers /Limitations: The scope of services provided under this phase relies on staff to work closely with the <br />Consultant. <br />Client Responsibilities: <br />• Coordinate all meetings and public involvement in the project. <br />• Participate in process at all levels to ensure that Consultant time is effectively used. <br />• Provide local cost information for operations and maintenance, and assist consultant in projecting future costs. <br />• Provide information related to local land costs to project acquisition costs for park property and open space. <br />Final Document <br />The final document will be in an 8' ' x 11" format and suitable for copying on commercial black and white and color <br />copying machines. WordPerfect format is typically used. One set of originals will be provided to the owner. Except for <br />maps, the copies will be black and white, unless the owner requests color for all of the copies. All reports and maps will <br />also be provided in digital format. <br />Presentation graphics will be prepared as warranted for public meetings. It is expected that these will include mapping <br />graphics illustrating the system components. In addition, overheads and PowerPoint presentation material will be used to <br />illustrate important planning issues and results. <br />Maps prepared for the project will be set up in an electronic format that is compatible with the City's system, assuming <br />that the City is using a standard software package. <br />Project Timeline <br />(To be discussed at the meeting.) <br />Professional Fees and Project Budget <br />(To be discussed at meeting.) <br />4 <br />
