• <br />• <br />• <br />City of Lino Lakes <br />Park Board Meeting <br />April 3, 2000 <br />RECREATION DEPARTMENT UPDATE: <br />Rick referred to the Program Highlights Flyer from March, 2000. <br />He stated registration has begun for the Options Program and 16 <br />children are currently enrolled in this eight -week joint venture <br />summer program with the YMCA. <br />Rick advised practices and games have begun in the Adult Soccer <br />League. Nineteen teams are registered this season. <br />Rick continued stating that contributions from the Lino Lakes <br />Lions Club and Mountain Enterprises have been received for Kite <br />Day. Thanks to these contributors, the City is able to continue <br />offering fee kits. Kite Day is scheduled on Saturday, June 3, <br />2000, 10:30 a.m., Rice Lake Elementary. <br />Rick noted the Spring Activities Guide ha <br />increased number of program offerings h <br />increase in the activities guide. <br />mailed. At the City Hall <br />location, there were more scheduled practice times that affected <br />the higher attendance figures. Rick noted the attendance figures <br />at each shelter. He stated that the supervised shelters and <br />attendance numbers will have to be addressed next year. <br />Chair Lindy stated there are a large number of ponds that are <br />being cleared and being used for skating.
