•
•
•
$33,000. Quail Ridge Park, as well as many other parks, will be considered when the
Park Board sets their goals in January. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for
neighborhood parks not to be developed for an extended period of time. For example,
Rice Lake Estates Park was recently developed, ten years after the development was
approved.
I understand your frustration of the development of Quail Ridge Park. However, without
adequate funding, I do not foresee this park being developed for quite some time. Two
alternatives to rectify this would be to begin allocating general fund dollars for park
development; another option would be a bond referendum.
I hope this clarifies the concerns you expressed in your letter.
