• <br />• <br />• <br />City of Lino Lakes <br />Park Board Meeting <br />November 1, 1999 <br />Based on previous experience monitoring wood duck houses, Rick <br />estimated between 50 -150 ducklings will be hatched from these <br />houses. <br />DETERMINE 1999 -2000 SKATING RINK HOURS AND LOCATIONS: <br />Staff recommended the following warminghouse shelters and hours <br />of operation as follows: <br />Park <br />Location Weekday Hours Weekend Hours <br />Sunrise Park 6918 Sunrise Drive <br />Birch Park 6520 Pheasant Run S <br />City Hall Park 1179 Main Street <br />Lino Park 7850 Lake Drive <br />4 -9pm <br />4 -9pm <br />4 -9pm <br />4 -8pm <br />Saturday 12 -9pm <br />Sunday 12 -6pm <br />Saturday 12 -9pm <br />Sunday 12 -6pm <br />Saturday 12 -8pm <br />Sunday 12 -6pm <br />Saturday 12 -8pm <br />Sunday 12 -6pm <br />Staff also recommends the following ice rink locations that do not <br />have shelters: <br />Shenandoah Park <br />Marshan Park <br />Sunset Oaks Park <br />Behm's Century Farm Park <br />475 Arrowhead Drive <br />7204 Lake Drive <br />7481 Leonard Avenue <br />7699 Mustang Lane <br />Staff is recommending not to provide a rink at Country Lakes <br />Estates Park due to extremely low use the past few years. <br />Chair Lindy asked about the policy regarding programming on rinks. <br />Rick advised staff has not yet met with the hockey group regarding <br />scheduling. Most programming is done at Sunrise with the overflow <br />being scheduled at Birch Park. <br />Pam asked if it is possible to put benches in areas that don't <br />have shelters. Rick said benches will be put in areas that don't <br />have shelters. <br />Chair Lindy suggested the shack that is located at Country Lakes <br />Park be used as a warming house. Rick advised the shack has had a <br />lot of vandalism and may not be useable. <br />Chris asked if the most popular times for use on the rinks is <br />tracked and if the winter staff is in place. Rick advised an <br />hourly track of use is taken and that determines the hours of <br />operation. Applications are now being taken for winter staff. <br />4 <br />
