• <br />• <br />• <br />ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING JUNE 26, 2002 <br />O'Connell added that there were two items not addressed since the last reviewal. <br />One was the request for 17 additional acres of open space, and the other was the <br />issue of lighting. <br />Donlin made a motion to recommend denial based on the wet soils, incomplete <br />information, and the recommendations submitted by the Environmental Board. <br />O'Connell seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />6. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Goals <br />Chair Kukonen handed out the compilation and <br />that 35% of the Parks go to open space. <br />,goals. Zoning Code Task Force Update <br />Donlin stated that the meeting on the Tree Ordinance focused on the difference <br />between private and commercial landowners. <br />Asleson indicated that he met with Al Brixius on the Shade Tree Ordinance and <br />the Tree Preservation Plan. Parts of both were to be incorporated into the zoning <br />code. The frustrating part in the past had been fences came down and were not <br />replaced which resulted in the trees' death.
