CITY OF LINO LAKES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY COUNTY OF ANOKA STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EMINENT DOMAIN RESOLUTION NO. 9a_01 WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Economic Development Authority has determined that the quadrant of the intersection of Lake Drive and Hodgson Road located south and easterly of said streets is suitable and desirable for economic development within the City of Lino Lakes; and WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes in conjunction with the State of Minnesota and County of Anoka has recently relocated and realigned the intersection of these two roadways; and WHEREAS, the relocation of such roadway has caused excess right -of -way to exist in said quadrant; and WHEREAS, the County of Anoka which presently has title to said right -of- way has indicated a willingness to convey same to the City of Lino Lakes; and WHEREAS, the City deems It necessary in order to make the development of said quadrant economically feasible it is necessary to combine such excess right - of -ways with property owned in said quadrant by George Reiling; and WHEREAS, the City and George Reiling have attempted to negotiate a purchase of such property but have been unsuccessful: and WHEREAS, the City has the authority to acquire property for economic development by eminent domain or otherwise pursuant to Minn. Stat. Chap. 117 and Section 469.101, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lino Lakes Economic Development Authority hereby authorizes the acquisition of the and located
